Here's an explanation.
I have a "real" job now. As usual, I won't get into specifics, but I'm doing something that's a direct result of having started this blog way back whenever. I don't even remember when I started this fucking thing. Half of it isn't even online anymore.
Anyway, I'm finally doing something with my life that doesn't require the use of either my back or my hands -- at least not in the angry way I've used both in years past.
I also don't live in New York anymore, at least temporarily -- which is very strange and rather uncomfortable at times. People outside of New York are just fucking strange and I don't like them.
Am I happy? Yeah, I am, most of the time. I've been very fortunate.
Am I writing? Yeah, I do it for a living now. More on this when I'm comfortable offering a more detailed explanation. I think I've gotten a lot better at it, and I think I have another book in me - a
real one. For now I'm happy in my Howard Rourke role here in the quarry.
Has life changed? Yeah, in a big way.
The blog? I kind of miss the feedback. We'll take things as they come. I'm still getting used to having a job that doesn't require me to sweat or get injured. Thanks for all the emails. All is well.
